Refund & Cancellation Policy
Last updated: [publication date]
This policy explains how cancellations and refunds work on CashYou. It forms part of our Terms of Service. All payments and refunds are processed by our payment partner, Stripe, in US dollars ($).
1. How payment is held
When a Poster funds a favor, the reward amount is collected upfront and held by the platform. It is released to the Helper only after the favor is completed and confirmed (or auto-released as described below). This protects both sides.
2. Cancelling a favor
- Before a Helper is accepted: the Poster may cancel any time and receive a full refund of the held amount.
- After a Helper is accepted, until they mark the favor done: the Poster can cancel in the app and receive a full refund. Frequent cancellations after accepting a Helper may affect the Poster's standing.
- After the Helper marks it done: the favor can no longer be cancelled for a refund. If the work wasn't done, raise a dispute (see below).
- Unclaimed favors: if no Helper is assigned (or an assigned Helper hasn't started) within 6 days, the favor expires and the Poster is refunded in full automatically.
- Helper-initiated cancellation: if a Helper cancels or fails to complete the favor, the Poster receives a full refund.
3. Completed favors
Once a favor is completed and confirmed (or auto-released), the reward is released to the Helper and is generally non-refundable, except where a valid dispute is raised (see below).
4. Auto-release
If the Poster does not confirm completion or raise a dispute within 72 hours of the Helper marking the favor complete, the reward may be released automatically to the Helper.
5. Disputes
If a favor was not done, was done incompletely, or was not as described, the Poster should raise a dispute in the app before the auto-release window ends. Our support team will review the evidence from both sides and may issue a full refund, a partial refund, or release the payment, as appropriate. Decisions are made fairly and in good faith.
6. Refund timeline & method
- Approved refunds are issued through Stripe to your original payment method.
- Refunds typically appear within 5–10 business days, depending on your bank or card issuer.
- Platform fees and payment-gateway charges may be non-refundable where a favor was completed; for cancellations before a Helper is accepted, the full amount is refunded.
7. How to request a refund or raise a dispute
Use the in-app dispute or support option on the relevant favor, or contact us:

Please include your account email and the favor details so we can help quickly.
Refund timing can vary by bank or payment provider.
